Audio Reinforcement

We have numerous sound systems in our inventory allowing us to select the perfect system for every event, or combine them in various ways to ensure consistency and clarity for everyone.

Every sound system we deploy is selected for the task, footprint and budget. We prepare 3D modelling of the venue ahead of time to optimize speaker selection and positioning in a virtual space before getting to site, giving us a streamlined plan on the event day. Systems are then calibrated and tuned on site using specialized measurement microphones, and industry-standard Smaart V9 dual channel FFT analysis.

While every event is unique, we’ve laid out our inventory into common applications with example photos from our past events.

PA System 1:

Danley Sound Labs Go2-8CX White Loudspeakers and THmini Tapped Horn Subwoofer

Compact, Sleek, Elegant

These coaxial full range speakers make fine playback sources for parties, cocktail hours, small dance floors, and meeting spaces up to 60’ in depth. All white speakers and hardware elevate your event without sacrificing adjustability for the best audio coverage.

The GO2-8CX features full range extension, a unique 8” coaxial driver with exceptional consistency across their wide pattern, and a nearly perfectly flat frequency and phase response for the most accurate listening experience you can imagine in a small scale event. Built-in yoke allows for easy angle adjustment to their wide dispersion.

Our matching white subwoofer is extremely compact, featuring a 12” woofer in a tapped-horn enclosure which doubles the effective output for a dance floor experience that seemingly defies physics, virtually disappearing in most spaces due to it’s small size and low-distortion sound quality.

PA System 2:

Danley Sound Labs FLX12 Coaxial Loudspeakers with JTR Captivator 212Pro Subwoofers

Balanced, Musical, Portable

These natural sounding coaxial utility speakers work anywhere quality sound and clean lines are needed. Popular for small concerts and equally comfortable at the feet of some of the best musicians around, they keep work night after night thanks to carefully tuned limiters and speaker processing.

Using a high output 12” coaxial driver in a vented enclosure; they provide effortless resistance to feedback while punching out crystal clear sound for stage monitoring on the loudest stages. Dual band protection limiters are built into the crossover with completely transparent operation allowing them to take a beating and keep the show going all night and into the morning.

Lightweight with built-in fly points, tripod pole cup, and recessed locking cable connectors for tidy cabling and easy daisy chaining. Offering 90 degree wide by 90 degree tall dispersion for an effective short range PA system or monitoring system. Adding subwoofers like our Captivator 212’s from JTR Speakers gives them enough low-end energy for rock, hip-hop and much more. We’ve used these for everything from classical concerts to hip-hop artists, to corporate meetings and keynote speakers. With 8 of these speakers in our inventory, they are our go-to solution for floor monitors for any size of stage.

PA System 3A/3B:

Danley SM80 Loudspeakers, JTR Subwoofers

Freakish output from a portable powerhouse

The SM80 loudspeaker doesn't deserve to be as loud as it is. It’s portable enough to make a PA that a single tech can deploy, and when combined with enough subwoofers it can cover massive crowds with punchy authority.

These are by far our most flexible loudspeakers due to their wide coverage, excellent throw for long range applications, and simple deployment for the ultimate portable speaker system. Using a 12”/3” coaxial driver on a shallow horn adds about 16dB of gain to the loudspeaker output making them extremely efficient. Built-in handles and discrete locking speaker cable connections round out their sleek design.

When coupled with a JTR Captivator 212Pro Subwoofer they make a very compact, high output PA for events up to 500 in attendance, but the only limitation there is the subwoofers as these speakers can outrun them without breaking a sweat. For outdoor spaces, bass-heavy content or larger crowds, we pair them with our JTR Orbit Shifter Pro subwoofers. Depending on your taste in low-frequency tilt, the SM80’s can keep up with up to 8 large format double 18” subwoofers; and we get amazing results with four of our JTR Orbit Shifter long-excursion folded horn subwoofers.

With an 80 degree vertical and 80 degree horizontal constant directivity coverage pattern, they work great in outdoor applications, or indoor venues with medium to tall ceiling heights where long throw and pattern control are desired. With an effective throw of over 240’ we’ve covered entire football field spaces with these. The point-source design ensures the audio quality holds up over distance ensuring intelligibility and clarity beyond any competitor. These speakers routinely replace older point-source deployments of 2 or more trapezoid 3-way cabinets per side, while using less power and being faster to set up.

We can’t defy physics, so while these loudspeakers get plenty loud they don’t extend low enough to represent the entire frequency range of human hearing. Used standalone they work great for speech reinforcement, but for music reproduction we use them in combination with subwoofers to round out the bottom two octaves. Due to their incredible output, we can simply scale the subwoofer deployment to the venue and music needs, from a single 12” tapped horn all the way up to 6-8 touring grade subwoofers to meet a variety of application needs.

PA System 4:

Danley Sound Labs SH96-HO 3-Way Loudspeakers with JTR Orbit Shifter Pro Subwoofers

Big power for large crowds and the most discerning ears

Our Danley SH96-HO 3-way synergy horn loudspeakers offer high output and punch unlike you’ve ever heard from a single cabinet.

These loudspeakers offers an extraordinary design that features 11 drivers coupled to a single Synergy Horn™ that includes four 15-inch drivers, six 4-inch mid-range drivers and a 3.4-inch-high carbon fibre HF compression driver – all mounted within a 45-inch x 26-inch horn. We’ve customized these even further, changing out the titanium high-frequency drivers for an upgraded Italian carbon fibre diagram for even lower distortion for a mind-blowing accuracy and detail like you'd simply never heard in a speaker this loud.

Thoughtful driver placement within the horn, combined with the patented Danley Synergy crossover network, allows for proper phase alignment between frequency bands. This permits the physically separated bands to combine and emerge from the horn in synchrony, greatly reducing off-axis distortions in frequency response and allowing for greater clarity at long distances, for an effective throw distance well over 500 feet. The constant directivity horn covers a 90-degree horizontal and 50 degree vertical pattern with amazingly consistent frequency response throughout the entire beam width, and directivity that keeps the reverberant energy low even in challenging acoustic spaces.

Perfect for music festivals, concerts, and large scale public address applications, they offer incredible efficiency, fidelity and extension, our portable front-loaded speaker lifts ensure easy deployment where rigging points aren’t available. We also have specialized rigging brackets that permit us to suspend down-fill speakers underneath the mains for a small footprint deployment that can cover very large crowds with consistency, clarity, and fidelity unlike anything else on the planet. Where suitable rigging points exist, such as truss structures or portable stages, our manual chain hoists offer a simple and effective method of elevating these to a suitable trim height.

In smaller spaces, these speakers can be ground-stacked on top of our subwoofers with matching dimensions for a tidy dance floor stack. Even at low listening volumes, expect to be blown away by the detail and accuracy of these loudspeakers and find out why more and more festivals and promoters around the globe are investing in similar products from this manufacturer.
